Lopettamattomat jutut - The unfinished business

Olen taas yhden sarjakuvaurakan päätökseen vietyäni selannut kaikkea sitä keskeneräistä, joka oli syrjässä odottamassa, että pääsisi takaisin pöydälle. Minulla on paljon hyviä pieniä projekteja erilaisissa vaiheissa, voisin hyvin tehdä näitä nähtävissä olevan loppuikäni, jos ei tarvitsisi tienata rahaa kuvituskeikoista.

Keikkatöissäkin on kuitenkin iloiset puolensa: aloitan alkavalla viikolla taas yhden elokuvan storyboardien piirtämisen. Kuvaaja lähetti jo edeltäkäsin selattavaksi käsikirjoituksen alkuosan, ja tiistaina tapaamme ohjaajan polkaistaksemme työn ihan tosissaan käyntiin. Juuri, kun luulitte kuunatsien olevan historiaa...

Having finished another comics job, I've browsed through all the unfinished stuff I had pushed aside for the duration. I have lots of nice little projects in various stages, I could well work on these things for the rest of my foreseeable life, if I didn't have to earn a living from illustration gigs.

Nonetheless, there is a brighter side to the gigs: this week I'll start on the storyboards of yet another motion picture. The Director of Photography already sent me the first part of the treatment to read, and on Tuesday we'll meet with the Director to get seriously started.
