Syksylle 2016 suunnittelemme sarjakuva-albumia Martti Lutherista, ja vaikka taustoitus onkin pääosin historioitsija-käsikirjoittaja Mikko Ketolan maaperää, on mukava itsekin selailla historiankirjoja. Sitäpaitsi ajatus saa harhailla esim. ennenvanhaisiin paaveihin ja sitä kautta legendaariseen Le Trombone Illustré -sarjakuvalehteen seiskytluvulta, jolloin olin ihan liian nuori tajuamaan kaikkia vivahteita André Franquinin töissä.

We're planning a graphic novel about Martin Luther for the fall of the year 2016, and while the background reference collecting is mostly the job of the historian/scriptwriter Mikko Ketola, I've enjoyed reading the history books myself. Thoughts wander to anecdotes about popes of the past, and on to the brilliant comic book Le Trombone Illustré from the seventies, when I was all too young to get the fine nuances of André Franquin's work.
